These two hand-crafted stoneware curlews have been made especially to raise funds for Curlew Action, a small charity dedicated to protecting curlews and the habitats they depend upon, while raising awareness and understanding of these remarkable birds.

Curlew numbers are declining dramatically, and we are seeing fewer and fewer of these beautiful birds across the UK. 

​

I felt compelled to make these two curlews as a small contribution towards helping ensure that their haunting call continues to be part of our landscape for generations to come. 

​

100% of the auction proceeds will be donated to curlew action, to help support their conservation work, fieldworkers, education, advocacy and campaigns to give curlews a more secure future. 

​

Both curlews are individually handmade from stoneware clay and glazed.
